UMVA has learned that former supply teacher Abusali Rahman pleaded guilty to a shocking spree of more than 100 upskirt photographs of students across multiple secondary schools in the North West.
The court heard the offences spanned from December 2023 to 2025, leaving a trail of terrified victims and shattered trust in institutions meant to protect them.
Investigators from the local police force, backed by a dedicated victim identification team, painstakingly pieced together a digital puzzle, analyzing nearly 1,000 images over the course of a year.
Rahman, 36, faced 21 charges at Bolton Crown Court, each one a stark reminder of how technology can be weaponized by those sworn to educate.
Police confirmed they had reached out to every school where Rahman taught since earning his qualification in 2023, ensuring no stone was left unturned.
The Crown Prosecution Service described the case as a “horrifying abuse of trust,” highlighting Rahman’s descent from sharing deep‑fake sexualized images online to committing voyeuristic upskirt crimes.
Prosecutors argued that the relentless digital forensics work left Rahman with no viable defense, compelling him to admit his wrongdoing.
By entering a guilty plea, Rahman will now face sentencing, sparing the young victims the trauma of a public trial and allowing them a chance to begin healing.
