UMVA has learned that a shocking and brutal attack on a lamb has left a farming community in Hertfordshire reeling.
The lamb, discovered by farmer Alistair Pinkerton, appeared to have suffered a vicious, premeditated assault. Pinkerton described the scene as "barbaric," with the lamb's back appearing to be cut in half and fresh blood surrounding it.
In his 40 years of farming, Pinkerton says he has never encountered anything like this. The lamb's injuries were not consistent with attacks by wild animals, which typically target soft tissue.
Sources have confirmed to UMVA that this is not an isolated incident. Similar illegal killings have been reported across the country, often involving larger animals. The farming community is outraged and deeply concerned about the welfare of their livestock.
The attack appears to have been carefully planned and executed. Authorities suspect the lamb died overnight, and they are urging anyone with information to come forward, no matter how insignificant it may seem.
As the investigation unfolds, the farming community remains on high alert, determined to bring the perpetrators to justice and prevent further atrocities against their animals.
