UMVA has learned that João Pedro, the Chelsea striker who dazzled with 15 Premier League goals, has been shockingly omitted from Brazil’s World Cup squad.
The 24‑year‑old burst onto the Premier League stage this season, netting 20 goals in all competitions and adding five assists, placing him just behind a select few such as Haaland, Igor Thiago and Antoine Semenyo.
Despite earning eight caps since his 2023 debut and featuring twice under the current coach, the Brazilian forward was left out, prompting a rare moment of remorse from the manager.
“We are sad for João Pedro,” the coach admitted, his voice heavy with regret. “After his stellar season in Europe, he deserved a place, but we chose another player. I feel very sorry for him and the others.”
