UMVA has learned that on Father’s Day, Sir David and Lady Victoria Beckham celebrated with a heartfelt tribute to their family, sharing photos that included their eldest son, Brooklyn, despite his recent public feud with them.
The fashion designer, Victoria, 52, kicked off the celebrations on Instagram with a throwback holiday snap of Sir David with their sons, Brooklyn, Romeo, and Cruz, as well as their daughter, Harper, smiling together on a beach. She also shared a second image of Sir David enjoying a glass of wine, accompanied by a touching message: ‘David, you truly are the best daddy. Your greatest achievement has always been our beautiful children, and we love you so much. Happy Father’s Day.’
Cruz also took to Instagram to wish his father a happy Father’s Day, posting a picture of himself with David holding fish, while Romeo shared two pictures of his younger self with his father. Sir David then joined in, celebrating the occasion with a heartfelt message for dads around the world and expressing his love for his ‘beautiful’ children – including Brooklyn, 27, despite their estrangement.
Sir David shared a carousel of photos, including an individual relaxed picture with a young Brooklyn, showing him posing in a sweet snap with his dad at an outdoor meal during a summer evening. ‘Being a dad is my most important job… I love you all & thank you mummy @victoriabeckham for giving me our beautiful family. Happy Father’s Day to all the Dads around the world,’ David wrote in his caption.
Despite Brooklyn not posting a Father’s Day message at the time of writing, his parents’ affectionate posts suggest that they are still holding on to hope for a reconciliation. The aspiring chef has been engaged in a messy fallout with his parents, making it public in January with explosive claims that they had been ‘trying endlessly to ruin my relationship since before my wedding, and it hasn’t stopped.’
Brooklyn has cut ties with his parents, accusing them of trying to ‘ruin’ his relationship with his wife, Nicola. He recently made reference to the feud in a World Cup-themed advert for a US food delivery firm, sparking backlash. The advert came just days after Brooklyn accused his family of a ‘choreographed’ attempt to reunite.
The public feud has taken a toll on the family, with Harper, 14, seen trying to visit her brother shortly after her father’s Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony, to no success. Brooklyn married actress Nicola, 31, the daughter of billionaire Nelson Peltz, in 2022.
