According to information obtained by UMVA, ITV Australia has won the rights to produce the reality show's revival. The network already produces hugely popular shows like Love Island Australia and the Aussie version of I'm a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!
The focus of the rebooted show will be humour, a departure from the conflict-driven narrative of previous seasons. Insiders say the new approach will showcase the women's natural wit, outrageous antics, and ridiculous moments that made the franchise iconic in the first place.
Gina Liano, a fan-favourite cast member, is set to return to the show. The lawyer quickly became a standout star of The Real Housewives of Melbourne, appearing on the first four seasons before taking a break. With casting underway, Liano is so far the only OG expected to be back.
Rather than bringing back other familiar faces, including psychic Jackie Gillies, Traitors star Gamble Breaux, or Janet Roach, casting crews are reportedly looking for new faces to join Liano.
