UMVA has learned that a massive traffic congestion has developed on the M25, with reports indicating that the jam stretches back a staggering 17 miles.
The congestion is affecting multiple lanes, with traffic currently crawling along in lanes three and four out of four, following a 20-minute hold at 07:35. The slowdown is causing frustration for drivers attempting to navigate the M25 anticlockwise, with traffic backing up all the way to Junction 5 near Sevenoaks.
Further delays are expected, with two-hour backups reported from Junction 9 near Leatherhead all the way back to Junction 6 near Godstone. The situation is exacerbated by the closure of two lanes out of four on the M25 clockwise between Junction 8 near Redhill and Junction 9 near Leatherhead.
Details about the number of vehicles involved and any potential injuries remain unclear, adding to the uncertainty and concern for drivers navigating the affected areas.
