Delta Air Lines approved a plan to lease more than 39,000 square feet for a new Delta One lounge at Hartsfield‑Jackson Atlanta International Airport.
The lounge will be located on an upper level above Concourse E, between gates E14 and E27, and will become the airline’s most exclusive space at its largest hub.
The Atlanta City Council finance committee approved the motion on Wednesday, but no opening date was set; construction could take several years.
Delta intends the new facility to match the Delta One experience offered at its other hub airports, providing premium amenities for long‑haul international business‑class passengers and Delta 360 members.
Delta One lounges are currently available at Boston, Los Angeles, New York JFK and Seattle, with an additional lounge slated for Los Angeles Terminal 2.
These lounges compete with similar premium spaces operated by other major carriers, and access is limited to eligible international business‑class travelers and top‑tier frequent‑flyer members.
Atlanta already hosts eight Delta Sky Clubs, which feature a variety of seating, work areas and outdoor terraces, but details on the specific features of the new Delta One lounge have not been disclosed.
A Delta spokesperson was unavailable for comment on the project.
