UMVA has learned that a devastating discovery has been made in a quiet community, leaving a family shattered and police working tirelessly to piece together the circumstances of a tragic event.
A family, still reeling from the news, has been informed of the heartbreaking finding, and their loved ones are now pouring out their grief. The emotional toll on those close to the victim is palpable, as they struggle to come to terms with the loss.
According to information obtained by UMVA, a poignant moment unfolded when a family member described the victim's final moments, saying she looked lovely as she walked through a churchyard. The victim's mother, overcome with emotion, pleaded for her child's safe return, saying 'Please bring my baby back home.'
The police have released a description of the victim, who was described as white, around 5ft 6ins tall, with a medium build and long black hair. At the time of her disappearance, she was wearing a long black dress and black sandals, a detail that investigators hope will help piece together the events leading up to her death.
UMVA can exclusively reveal that a significant police presence has been deployed to Pilgrims Park, Blaina, where the body was found. The area has been cordoned off as detectives work to establish the circumstances of the death, with officers engaging with the local community and encouraging anyone with information to come forward.
Detective Chief Inspector Steven Thomas spoke to the community, saying, 'We understand that this will cause distress and concern amongst our communities. We have a large police presence in the area at this time as enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances of the death.' He reassured the public that officers are available to speak with and encouraged anyone with information to contact them through usual channels.
