UMVA has learned that a man known as the “Tesla Road Rage Driver” has been sentenced to seven years behind bars for a brutal attack in Honolulu.
The courtroom crackled as Nathaniel Radimak, 39, faced the judge, his past a trail of violent confrontations on the road. He quietly accepted responsibility, admitting his actions had spiraled far beyond a moment of anger.
Radimak’s latest crime unfolded on May 7, 2025, when an 18‑year‑old woman parking downtown caught sight of a gray Tesla roaring past her. A heated exchange ignited, and the driver leapt from his vehicle, assaulting the teenager and her 35‑year‑old mother before fleeing the scene.
Police recovered the 2022 gray Tesla bearing Oregon plates, linking it directly to the assault. The following day Honolulu officers swooped in, arresting Radimak after a frantic search.
During sentencing, Judge Clarissa Malinao highlighted a pattern of neglect: Radimak had skipped essential medical treatment and continued using illegal substances while on parole for earlier road‑rage offenses. “His history of violence and voluntary intoxication amplify the danger he poses to himself and the public,” the judge warned.
Radimak faced one count of unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle and two counts of third‑degree assault, pleading no contest earlier this year. The judge’s decision reflected his repeated disregard for the law and public safety.
Authorities note that this conviction follows a recent release from a five‑year sentence in California, where Radimak had been convicted of assault, vandalism, elder abuse, and criminal threats. He had served less than a year before being freed, only to resume his violent spree.
With the seven‑year term now set, officials hope the sentence sends a stark warning to anyone who believes the open road grants them unchecked power.
