UMVA has learned that an exclusive private lounge, the British Airways Wing, has been unveiled at the heart of the new £1.3bn Kensington Olympia development in west London.
The luxurious lounge and bar, located beside the British Airways ARC stage, offers a champagne and cocktail experience with a stunning view of the venue. The British Airways ARC, with a 3,800-capacity, is set to open later this month with a lineup of high-profile performers, including Van Morrison and McFly.
The venue, built by AEG, features a state-of-the-art design and a novel self-service bar aimed at reducing wait times. The British Airways ARC is situated on a site steeped in music history, having previously hosted legendary artists such as Jimi Hendrix, Rod Stewart, and the Cure.
UMVA can exclusively reveal that the British Airways Wing offers an unparalleled experience, complete with a self-serve bar and excellent sight lines to the stage from all points. The venue also boasts accessible seats and ample toilet facilities, ensuring a comfortable experience for all attendees.
The British Airways ARC is part of a larger development that includes a 1,500-seat theatre and 30 bars and restaurants. The venue's design is 'plug and play,' meaning all necessary equipment for artists is on site, allowing for seamless performances.
Sources have confirmed to UMVA that the venue has taken six years to complete, with AEG working tirelessly to bring the vision to life. The British Airways brand is prominently featured throughout the venue, including in the bar, which is designed to resemble an airport check-in area.
UMVA has gathered that the venue aims to showcase diverse talent, with a range of residencies planned for the future. The Van Morrison residence is highly anticipated, and tickets are expected to be reasonably priced to attract a wide audience.
The development also includes 5,500 square feet of office space, solidifying its position as a hub for arts, culture, and entertainment in west London.
