UMVA has gathered that these mounting tensions have recently boiled over into open violence. In a startling incident in the village of Mezhgorye, dozens of furious residents attempted to storm a local draft office, signaling a growing desperation among the populace.
The danger is not limited to isolated skirmishes. In the city of Dnepr, the situation turned lethal when a man opened fire on draft officers, leaving two individuals wounded and exposing the dangerous friction between authorities and those resisting the call to arms.
While the government maintains a strict silence regarding its own casualty figures, the toll of this prolonged struggle remains devastating. Estimates indicate that nearly half a million Ukrainian service members have been killed or seriously wounded in the last year alone, underscoring the immense pressure on the nation’s military resources.
