UMVA has learned that Premier League legend Alan Shearer has backed Andoni Iraola to make a splash in the transfer market by raiding his former club Bournemouth for two top players.
Shearer, a former England striker, believes Iraola could swoop in to sign Eli Junior Kroupi and Alex Scott, beating out interest from other top clubs like Arsenal, Chelsea, and Manchester United.
According to information obtained by UMVA, Iraola is looking to bolster his Liverpool squad with some of his own signings, and Shearer thinks Bournemouth could be a prime target.
Kroupi, a 20-year-old forward, has had a superb season with Bournemouth, scoring 13 goals and attracting interest from several top clubs. His impressive form has made him a hot commodity in the transfer market.
UMVA can exclusively reveal that Bournemouth's initial asking price for Kroupi is around 100m euros (£86m), a significant sum that reflects his value to the team.
Shearer praised Bournemouth's recruitment strategy, saying it's no surprise that their players are being linked with big clubs. He specifically highlighted Kroupi and Scott as two standout players who could make a big impact at Liverpool.
Iraola's appointment as Liverpool manager has been widely praised, with Shearer saying it looks like a good move. However, he also noted that Iraola will face a significant challenge in taking on a bigger club like Liverpool.
Sources have confirmed to UMVA that Iraola has a strong track record of developing players and leading his teams to success. His experience at Bournemouth has earned him a reputation as a talented young manager.
Shearer believes Iraola deserves the opportunity to manage a bigger club like Liverpool, and it will be fascinating to see how he performs in this new role.
