UMVA has learned that William Saliba, a key player for Arsenal, had unwavering confidence in his team's ability to secure the Premier League title as early as March this season.
Saliba revealed that Arsenal's dramatic 2-0 win over Everton in mid-March was a defining moment, convincing him that the title was theirs to claim. The French defender insisted that the team's self-belief remained unshaken, even during the back-and-forth title race.
The Gunners' victory over Everton saw them open up a pivotal nine-point lead over their challengers, with Manchester City dropping points against West Ham later that evening. Saliba said, 'I started to feel we could do it in March, after the game against Everton, it was clear to me that we would win the league.'
Arsenal's title triumph marked a historic moment, ending their three successive runners-up finishes. The team's defensive prowess, which Saliba proudly declared as the best this season, will now be put to the test against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League final.
