For years, spring remained a quiet period for online shopping, overshadowed by the summer’s Prime Day, fall’s Prime Deal Days and Black Friday, and the bustling winter holidays. But a shift began a few years ago, sparked by a major retailer’s initiative to energize the season.
That initiative has grown into a recognized event, and this year, another major retailer is directly challenging for consumer attention with its own spring promotion. It’s a concentrated burst of deals designed to capitalize on the growing desire for seasonal updates and fresh starts.
This year’s event, known as Circle Deal Days, is a focused sale from Target. Unlike previous iterations that stretched across a week, this year’s event is a shorter, more intense offering.
Mark your calendars: Circle Deal Days will run from Wednesday, March 25th, to Friday, March 27th. Participation requires membership in Target Circle, a program that offers benefits beyond just access to these exclusive deals.
Fortunately, joining Target Circle is completely free, unlike some other retail loyalty programs. However, those who subscribe to the paid Target Circle 360 tier, starting at a monthly fee, will enjoy the advantage of early access beginning on March 24th.
Adding another incentive, Target is offering a substantial reward for new credit card applicants. Those approved for a Target Circle credit card between March 15th and 27th will receive $100 in Target Circle Rewards.
The sale’s focus is squarely on spring, with significant discounts across a wide range of categories. Expect to find deals on apparel, patio furniture, and essential home goods.
Beyond the basics, the sale will also encompass beauty products, grocery items, toys, books, movies, and music. Shoppers can participate both in-store and online, with a new “Deal of the Day” revealed each day of the event.
Specific examples of anticipated discounts include up to 50% off select toys from popular brands like Barbie and PAW Patrol. Women’s apparel from lines like A New Day and Universal Thread will be available at up to 40% off.
Skincare enthusiasts can anticipate 40% off select brands, including BYOMA and Bubble Skincare. Home and kitchen essentials, featuring names like Keurig and Cuisinart, will also see discounts of 40%.
Even major appliance categories like floorcare, with brands like Dyson and Shark, are included in the savings, offering 40% off select models. These are just a glimpse of the broader range of deals to be discovered.
Target isn’t alone in recognizing the potential of a spring sales event. Amazon’s Big Spring Sale is scheduled to run from March 25th through March 31st, directly overlapping with the start of Target’s promotion.
While Walmart has yet to officially announce a spring sale, Best Buy is already underway with its Tech Fest, running through March 22nd. The competition is heating up, promising a flurry of opportunities for savvy shoppers.
