UMVA Uncovers: Shocking Reason Behind Davies' Sudden Benchings - You Won't Believe Why Canada's Star Player Is Being Kept Under Wraps Against Qatar!

UMVA has learned that Alphonso Davies, the star Canadian player, has made a significant recovery from his hamstring injury and is poised to make a return to the field, potentially off the bench.

Davies suffered the injury during Bayern Munich’s Champions League semi-final tie in May, which kept him sidelined for an extended period. However, according to information obtained by UMVA, Davies has been training with his team and is now considered available for Canada’s upcoming match against Qatar.

Head coach Marsch confirmed that Davies will be part of the squad and could play a role off the bench, stating, "He's been in training this week, and he'll be available tomorrow, and we'll see how the match goes and then make a decision on how we would choose to use him."

The coach expressed optimism about Davies' readiness, noting that the team has worked closely with his physio to ensure a smooth recovery. Marsch highlighted that Davies is looking good and that the decision on his usage will depend on the game's dynamics and how he can contribute.

Davies' return is significant, especially considering his limited participation in recent matches. He last played for Canada in March 2025 and has only featured in two of Canada's last 22 matches due to a string of injuries.

In addition to Davies, centre-back Moise Bombito is also nearing a return to full fitness. Bombito was forced off early in a warm-up match against Uzbekistan and missed Canada's opening group-stage match, but his recovery is progressing well.
