Police responded to reports of a fight just before 6:40 PM on Tuesday, discovering Sullivan with devastating stab wounds. Despite the frantic efforts of emergency responders, he tragically died at the scene, casting a dark shadow over the idyllic park.
The violence didn’t stop there. Another man, also in his twenties, was found nearby on Regent’s Park Road, suffering from stab wounds. He was immediately transported to the hospital, thankfully his injuries were deemed non-life-threatening.

A parkgoer described an initial brawl involving a group of teenagers, escalating quickly into something far more sinister. “Then a group of three people ran off past us and one of them said to the other ‘you’ve been sheft [stabbed] mate’ and you could just see this massive red patch on his shirt.”
The aftermath was one of chaos and distress. Crowds gathered around the victim, their faces etched with shock and fear. “Lots of people had their head in their hands and just looked very distressed,” the eyewitness recalled, describing the palpable sense of horror that gripped the park.
