
A man in his 50s was stabbed to death Thursday afternoon in Scarborough.
Toronto Police say officers responded to an “unknown trouble” call at Eglinton Ave. E. and Danforth Ave. around 4:15 p.m. but were unable to find a complainant.
Officers continued to investigate and were led to an apartment a block west near Eglinton and Falmouth Aves. where they found a man inside with stab wounds.
The victim, whose name was not released, was pronounced dead soon after, police said.

Two people were arrested at the scene but no further details were immediately available.
The investigation is ongoing.
Cops in Durham Region also investigating a deadly incident
Meanwhile, cops east of the city, in Oshawa, are investigating a separate incident of violence after a man was found dead near Simcoe St. S. and McGrigor St. – south of King St. W. – on Thursday afternoon.
“A male was located was obvious signs of trauma and has been pronounced deceased,” Durham Regional Police said on X, offering no further details.
There is a large police presence in the area of Simcoe Street South and McGrigor Street in Oshawa after police responded to an unknown trouble call.
