Equity Bank Rwanda Plc and Toyota Rwanda Ltd have launched a new strategic vehicle financing partnership to provide accessible and affordable vehicle financing solutions for new and used Toyota vehicles, making car ownership more attainable for individuals, SMEs, and institutions across Rwanda.


The partnership was officially unveiled on Monday, October 20, at Toyota Rwanda’s headquarters in Karuruma, Kigali, during a ceremony attended by officials, staff, and partners from both institutions. The agreement was signed by Eric Rutabana, Equity Bank Rwanda’s Commercial Director, and Nenad Predrevac, Managing Director of Toyota Rwanda Ltd.

Under this collaboration, customers will be able to access flexible and competitive auto loans through Equity Bank Rwanda’s personal and business banking services. The loan packages include comprehensive vehicle insurance, enabling customers to drive with peace of mind and confidence.


In addition, the offering comes with a quick turnaround time for loan approvals, ensuring a faster and more efficient path to vehicle ownership. Customers will also benefit from Toyota’s manufacturer’s warranty and trusted after-sales service, reinforcing the reliability of their investment.

According to Rutabana, the partnership aims to simplify the financing process and reduce the overall cost of vehicle ownership while offering a one-stop solution for financing, insurance, and after-sales support.


“We combined all these services to allow a seamless process for owning a car and ensuring that the rates are low,” Rutabana said, adding that loan amounts and repayment plans will depend on the client’s income and repayment capacity.
