RuPaul’s Drag Racefinalist Bosco is an engaged woman, after her partner Blake popped the question to her on stage.
The drag performer, who shot to fame as a finalist onDrag Raceseason 14 in 2022 before returning forAll Stars 10this summer, was proposed to after performing herGrindhausshow at The Crocodile in Seattle on Saturday (18 October).
In a speech recorded andpublishedby fans in the audience, Bosco’s partner of six years Blake recounted how the couple met, while a slideshow of photos of them together played on the stage backdrop.
Bosco, dressed in a silver and black powersuit and with a blonde updo, perched on a seat on the stage while Blake shared the story of their meetcute.
“It was me being a timid boy on the side of the stage at the end of the show. We looked very different back then,” Blake said.
“The following years brought a lot of the hard stuff, starting with me completely fumbling when you asked me to be your [partner].
“[She] wrote this cute card that had ‘check yes or no’ on it. We were at dinner and I was fucking way too nervous and just didn’t look at it,” they shared.
“And then we went into me finishing college, pandemic, mom dying, and then reality TV.”
Despite their tricky times together, Blake said that Bosco was “the best friend” and “best partner” they could “ever ask for”.
“I feel like it became very full circle tonight… to ask you to spend the rest of your life with me,” Blake rounded off, before getting on one knee and presenting Bosco with a ring, to a rapturous cheer from the crowd.
Bosco appeared to nod yes, before putting on the ring and giving her love a kiss and a cuddle.
In a post on her Instagram page, Bosco shared a carousel of photos from the evening, including a close-up of the ring, her getting weepy-eyed after the moment happened, and herAll Stars 10sister Irene The Alien celebrating with her.
“Love you forever Blake,” she wrote, alongside the sweet images.
“I’m so happy for you two,” wrote Bosco’s season 14 andAll Stars 10sister Daya Betty, while Angeria Paris VanMichaels, who also appeared on season 14, commented: “Congrats sis.”
“OMG congratulations,” wroteThe TraitorsstarGabby Windey, alongside two crying emojis.
Bosco became a hugeDrag Racefavourite following her original stint on the reality series back in 2022, making it to the finale before ultimately losing out on the crown to Willow Pill.
She was equally adored during herAll Stars 10run earlier this year, making it to the finale with three episode wins out of five. The season was won byGinger Minj.
Following her appearance on season 14, Boscocame out as a transgender woman.
