The White House has released a list of donors who contributed to President Donald Trump’s new ballroom, amid a backlash over the demolition of the decades-old East Wing to make way for the project.
Wealthy individuals, tech companies and other corporations are among the more than 30 donors to have contributed to the planned 90,000-square-foot ballroom, which is now estimated to cost $300 million, according to the White House.
The donations are being managed by the Trust for the National Mall, a nonprofit that helps manage federal projects.
Here’s the list of donors shared by the White House:

9. Google ($22 million toward the ballroom came from a settlement Trump reached with the Google-owned video site YouTube. The agreement, announced in September, ended a lawsuit he brought over the company’s 2021 decision to suspend his account in the wake of the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol.)

11. Lockheed Martin (in a statement, the company said it was “grateful for the opportunity to help bring the President’s vision to reality and make this addition to the People’s House, a powerful symbol of the American ideals we work to defend every day.”
