The teenager attempted to approach the defender but was held back by Real star Eduardo Camavinga, sparking a shoving match between the teams, withMarcus Rashfordamong those trying to diffuse the conflict.
Vinicius Junior, already fuming after being subbed off earlier in the game, then exchanged words with Yamal as he was being escorted off the pitch, before the Brazil forward suddenly lunged at his rival, with security desperately keeping the pair apart.
While what was said in this moment is unclear, it is reported that during the match that Vinicius was heard teasing the Ballon d’Or runner-up, saying: ‘You only pass backwards.’
