NORRIS WILL WIN?! Supercomputer SHOCKS F1 World!

The roar of the crowd in São Paulo still echoes, a testament to Lando Norris’s masterful victory – a win that has dramatically reshaped the Formula 1 championship landscape. He arrived in Brazil with a slender one-point advantage; he leaves with a commanding 24-point lead, poised on the brink of history.

Norris’s performance was flawless, securing both the Grand Prix and the sprint race. Meanwhile, his McLaren teammate, Oscar Piastri, faltered, crashing in the sprint and finishing fifth on Sunday, a stark contrast to his earlier dominance this season. The shift in momentum is undeniable.

With only three races remaining – the glittering spectacle of Las Vegas, the fast-paced Qatar sprint weekend, and the season finale in Abu Dhabi – a total of 83 points remain up for grabs. Just weeks ago, Norris was considered a long shot, but now he stands as the clear favourite to become McLaren’s first champion since Lewis Hamilton’s triumph in 2008.

Remarkably, despite Norris’s surge, a sophisticated supercomputer predicts he won’t win another race this season. Instead, it foresees a relentless Max Verstappen sweeping the remaining events, accumulating maximum points. The simulation suggests Verstappen will close the gap, finishing a close second to Norris, who will consistently secure podium finishes and maintain his lead.

The current standings paint a compelling picture: Lando Norris leads with 390 points, followed by Oscar Piastri at 366, and a determined Max Verstappen trailing at 341. Piastri’s recent struggles are predicted to continue, potentially dropping him to third in the final standings.

Verstappen, a four-time consecutive champion, has publicly dismissed his chances of a fifth, a feat only Michael Schumacher has achieved. However, Norris isn’t underestimating his rival. “I’m sure Max is going to be a threat,” Norris stated after his Brazilian victory, acknowledging Verstappen’s unwavering competitive spirit.

Norris understands the fine margins in Formula 1. “Not everyone puts it together, and it’s easy to make mistakes,” he observed, recognizing the pressure and complexity of the sport. He anticipates a fierce battle to the very end, relishing the challenge that lies ahead.

While Norris could mathematically secure the championship in Las Vegas, even a perfect weekend would only extend his lead to 49 points with 58 still available. The title fight will ultimately be decided in either Qatar or the final race in Abu Dhabi, setting the stage for a dramatic conclusion to the 2025 season.

The supercomputer’s predictions are based on simulating the remaining races 10,000 times, factoring in each driver’s probability of winning, sprint race outcomes, and the likelihood of retirements based on their season history. It’s a complex model designed to account for every possible scenario.
