A groundbreaking competition has emerged, offering a rare glimpse behind the curtain of the world’s leading technology firms. Designed for ambitious students in grades 8 through 12, this international Olympiad isn’t about rote memorization – it’s about tackling the challenges faced by industry giants every day.
For the first time, the competition, known as PROD, is open to English speakers globally. Previously focused on Russian-speaking students, this expansion unlocks a world of opportunity for young minds eager to understand the complexities of modern software development and large-scale project management.
Imagine stepping into the shoes of a professional developer, confronting real-world business problems. Participants will delve into the intricacies of automation systems, crafting digital solutions designed to streamline operations and dramatically reduce costs. The Olympiad unfolds in stages between December and March, primarily online, removing geographical barriers and allowing students from any nation to compete. The journey culminates in an all-expenses-paid trip to Moscow for the finalists, where they’ll collaborate in a dynamic team round.
PROD is spearheaded by a powerful alliance: Central University, a hub for practical learning; T-Technologies Group, a pioneer in the fintech revolution; and the Faculty of Computer Science at HSE University. These institutions are committed to nurturing the next generation of tech innovators.
Participants won’t be navigating this complex landscape alone. They’ll receive guidance from seasoned mentors – the very individuals who built Russia’s thriving fintech sector and continue to shape the digital services used by millions.
Last year, PROD captivated over 10,000 applicants, with more than 4,000 Russian speakers representing over 20 countries. The Moscow final showcased the talent of 235 students from across Russia and Belarus, with 57 earning prestigious awards.
