COP'S SHOCKING ABUSE: He PUSHED an Elderly Man & Boasted About Power!

COP'S SHOCKING ABUSE: He PUSHED an Elderly Man & Boasted About Power!

A Metropolitan Police officer has been permanently barred from the force after a shocking display of unreasonable force against a pensioner outside a south London postal depot.

The incident unfolded when Mr. A, concerned about the whereabouts of two valuable, untraceable parcels, visited the Royal Mail depot in Purley on November 6th. After being asked to wait, he positioned himself in front of a moving lorry, a deliberate act intended to address his concerns.

A depot manager, perceiving this as an obstruction, contacted the police. Upon arrival, PC Dan Loft immediately demanded Mr. A move from the roadway, escalating the situation with a shouted instruction.

The confrontation quickly turned physical. PC Loft forcefully pushed Mr. A with both hands to the chest, sending the pensioner tumbling backwards. Witnesses helped Mr. A to his feet, but he immediately accused the officer of assault.

Body-worn camera footage revealed a disturbing escalation. Before the initial push, PC Loft was heard challenging Mr. A to “square up to me,” then invaded his personal space before shoving him over a low wall. Only the intervention of another officer and a bystander prevented a further fall.

During the escalating exchange, a pointed and unsettling remark was made. When Mr. A questioned whether it was yet 8am, PC Loft responded with a statement that revealed a disturbing attitude: “You’re a pensioner, you don’t pay my wages, I pay yours.”

The situation didn’t end with the physical altercation. After requesting his dislodged shoe, Mr. A was again confronted by PC Loft, who pushed him on the shoulder and accused him of committing criminal offenses.

Mr. A, visibly shaken, reacted with anger, using foul language and a gesture before being arrested under the Public Order Act and handcuffed. The handcuffs themselves caused bleeding injuries to his wrists before he was quickly de-arrested by PC Oladimeji.

A misconduct panel, led by Commander Katie Lilburn, found all allegations against PC Loft proven at the level of gross misconduct. They specifically noted Mr. A’s demeanor throughout the ordeal was one of shock, and crucially, non-aggressive.

The panel’s decision was unequivocal: PC Loft was dismissed without notice and his name has been added to the College of Policing barred list, effectively ending his career in law enforcement.
