DC CRISIS: Guard Shot, Nation ERUPTS – Official Blasts Afghanistan FAILURE!

A Thanksgiving Eve shooting in West Virginia has plunged the state into profound grief, claiming the life of a National Guard member and leaving another fighting for survival. The tragedy has ignited outrage among state officials, uniting a community already bracing for a somber holiday.

Sarah Beckstrom, of Summersville, succumbed to her injuries, while Andrew Wolfe, from Inwood, remains in critical condition. The suspect, Rahmahullah Lakanwal, reportedly assisted the CIA in Afghanistan, aiding evacuations during the tumultuous fall of Kabul.

The shooting has resonated deeply within West Virginia, a state often described as one large, close-knit town. Delegate Josh Holstein, Chairman of the West Virginia Republican Party, expressed the collective shock and sorrow, emphasizing the unusual nature of such violence within the state.

“West Virginia is one big small town,” Holstein stated, “and folks come together in tragedy, in triumph, in everything.” Political divides have momentarily dissolved as residents rally around the victims and their families, sharing a profound sense of loss.

Mike Pushkin, Chair of the West Virginia Democratic Party, echoed this sentiment, noting the outpouring of grief and gratitude for the two young National Guard members. Thanksgiving arrived as a stark reminder that not all families would be celebrating together.

The tragedy has also sparked intense scrutiny regarding Lakanwal’s presence in the United States, with many questioning the circumstances surrounding his arrival following the 2021 withdrawal from Afghanistan. Officials are pointing to the chaotic nature of the withdrawal as a contributing factor.

Holstein directly linked the shooting to the withdrawal, describing it as a “complete debacle” that unleashed chaos and allowed individuals to enter the country without adequate vetting. He argued that the current immigration system prioritizes foreign interests over the safety and well-being of American citizens.

The incident has reignited calls for stricter immigration policies, emphasizing merit-based selection and thorough background checks. Holstein referenced former President Trump’s stance on immigration from unstable regions as a potential solution.

Despite the tragedy, there is a firm resolve to stand strong and not be intimidated. Holstein expressed unwavering support for the continued deployment of the West Virginia National Guard to Washington D.C., and even suggested increasing their presence.

The loss of a life and the fight for another have left an indelible mark on West Virginia, a state known for its strong sense of community and unwavering commitment to service. The coming days will be filled with mourning, remembrance, and a renewed determination to protect its citizens.
