The film, slated for worldwide theatrical release on January 30th, 2026, is the first project from MUSE FILMS, a production company launched by the former First Lady herself. This marks a significant step for Trump, extending her presence into the world of filmmaking and storytelling.
Born in Slovenia, Melania Trump’s path to becoming First Lady was unique, making her the only naturalized citizen to hold the position. She joins a small, historic group as only the second First Lady born outside of the United States, following Louisa Catherine Johnson Adams.
Before her time in the White House, Trump forged a successful career as a model, captivating audiences across Europe and the United States. This experience wasn’t merely about appearances; it fueled her fluency in multiple languages – Slovenian, English, Italian, French, and German.
The documentary is being executive produced by Trump alongside Fernando Sulichin, with Brett Ratner directing. Ratner, a figure known in the industry, brings his experience as a producer and director to this deeply personal project.

Passages containing the disputed claims were removed from a published work following legal pressure, and apologies were issued by both the Daily Beast and James Carville for repeating the allegations. The pursuit of further retractions remains ongoing, according to communications from her office.
Her communications team has stated that legal efforts are continuing to secure apologies from those who perpetuated what they describe as “malicious, defamatory falsehoods,” reinforcing the First Lady’s commitment to controlling her own narrative.
