Now, plans are underway to enhance this iconic location, offering a more welcoming and sustainable experience for both visitors and the local community. A proposed development aims to introduce a visitor centre, a cozy café, a shop showcasing local crafts, and much-needed parking facilities.
Currently, the viewpoint relies on a simple lay-by, often overwhelmed during peak seasons. The new plan prioritizes safe access and essential services, including restrooms and waste management, addressing long-standing concerns about litter and environmental impact.
The design thoughtfully incorporates a dedicated space for local artisans, providing a platform to display and sell their unique creations. This isn’t just about improving facilities; it’s about celebrating the rich cultural heritage of the Highlands.
