Captured on CCTV, Lee was seen walking through the neighborhood, his clothing saturated with blood, still carrying the weapon used in the attack. He attempted to dispose of the knife, discarding it before returning to the shared home.

In a desperate attempt to conceal his crime, Lee washed his blood-stained clothes before police arrived. However, investigators quickly identified him as a suspect after discovering he and Mr. Graham were housemates.
