A late-night confrontation in a Brampton parking lot erupted in gunfire on October 7th, leaving one person with minor injuries and sparking a police investigation that has led to multiple arrests.
The incident, unfolding around 10:45 p.m. near McVean Dr. and Castlemore Rd., involved a heated altercation between two distinct groups, escalating quickly to the discharge of firearms.
Following weeks of meticulous investigation, Peel Regional Police executed a search warrant at a Caledon residence on November 20th, resulting in the arrest of three suspects allegedly connected to one of the groups involved.

Despite these arrests, the investigation remains active as authorities continue to search for a fourth individual – the person believed to have fired the initial shots.
This suspect is described as a South Asian male who was last seen wearing a black jacket, blue jeans, and white running shoes. Police are urging anyone with information to come forward.
The shooting is part of a disturbing trend of violence linked to the tow truck industry, a problem that has recently garnered significant attention from law enforcement.
Earlier this year, Toronto Police initiated “Project Dodger” in response to a surge in criminal activity, including multiple shootings involving tow truck operators. A single 24-hour period saw three operators shot.
Last year alone, nearly 13% of all shooting incidents in the city – a staggering 63 cases – were connected to disputes within the competitive and often volatile tow truck business.
The ongoing investigation highlights the escalating dangers and complex dynamics at play within this industry, and the commitment of police to bring those responsible for violence to justice.
