A wave of grief has settled over a family following the tragic death of Daisy House, a young girl who died at Loughton Underground Station in Essex. The incident, occurring just after 2:30 PM on Monday, has left a community reeling and a family heartbroken.

Emergency services responded immediately to reports of a casualty on the tracks. Paramedics and British Transport Police officers worked tirelessly, battling to save Daisy’s life, but their efforts proved insufficient. She was rushed to a hospital, where she sadly succumbed to her injuries.

Daisy’s family, in a statement released amidst their profound sorrow, remembered their daughter as a beacon of light. They described her as “bright, beautiful, clever and funny,” a testament to the vibrant spirit lost too soon.

The family extended their deepest gratitude to the emergency services, particularly highlighting the kindness and dedication of the British Transport Police officer and the paediatric nurses who provided care and compassion during an unimaginable ordeal. Their support offered a small measure of comfort in the face of devastating loss.

They also expressed their appreciation for the outpouring of support from friends, neighbors, and well-wishers, acknowledging the heartfelt messages and floral tributes that have been sent their way. The community’s collective grief underscores the impact Daisy had on those around her.

British Transport Police are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the tragedy, seeking to understand how this heartbreaking event unfolded. The investigation aims to provide answers and closure to a family grappling with unimaginable pain.

The family of 16-year-old Daisy House, who very sadly died on Monday, are paying tribute to her. Officers were called to Loughton Underground station just after 2.30pm on Monday (15 December) following reports of a casualty on the tracks. Paramedics also attended, however despite their best efforts Daisy sadly passed away later at hospital. Daisy?s family paid tribute to her, saying: "On Monday, our beautiful daughter Daisy lost her life. She was a bright, beautiful, clever, and funny girl who had just started Sixth Form and had her whole future ahead of her. "We would like to thank all of the emergency services and doctors who worked so hard to save her, especially the British Transport Police officer and paediatric nurses who treated us all with such kindness. "We thank everyone who has sent best wishes, kind messages, and floral tributes. We would now ask for our privacy to be respected while we come to terms with the loss of our Daisy and what life will be like without our daughter." Daisy?s family have released this photo of her.
