ISIS PLOT SHATTERED: New Year's Eve ATTACK NARROWLY AVERTED!

A chilling plot to unleash violence on New Year’s Eve in North Carolina was narrowly averted, authorities revealed Friday. Eighteen-year-old Christian Sturdivant, of Mint Hill, allegedly planned attacks on a grocery store and a fast-food restaurant, fueled by extremist ideology.

The disturbing details emerged during a press conference, painting a picture of a young man radicalized and preparing for a horrific act. Prosecutors stated Sturdivant had pledged allegiance to ISIS and intended to kill Americans, specifically targeting Jews, Christians, and LGBTQ individuals.

Despite desperate attempts by his grandparents to prevent tragedy, potential weapons were discovered hidden beneath his bed. They had secured knives and hammers, believing they’d removed the means for violence, only to find them concealed by Sturdivant after a search warrant was executed.

The FBI first became aware of Sturdivant’s dangerous path in January 2022, when he was still a minor. He had been communicating online with an unidentified ISIS member, receiving direct instructions to carry out attacks.

That earlier contact involved a chilling directive: dress in black, go door-to-door, and attack people with a hammer. Sturdivant actually followed through, donning black clothing and leaving his home armed, but his family intervened, preventing immediate harm. No charges were filed at that time, and he was referred for psychological evaluation.

This time, the plan was far more ambitious. Sturdivant was actively scouting locations, focusing on crowded grocery stores in Mint Hill, seeking a “high-profile” target where he could inflict maximum casualties. He considered multiple stores, assessing which would have the largest number of people.

Authorities emphasized the gravity of the situation, stating that Sturdivant was actively “preparing for jihad” and that innocent lives were on the brink of being lost. The swift action of law enforcement, they stressed, was crucial in preventing a devastating tragedy.

Sturdivant now faces charges of attempting to provide material support to a foreign terrorist organization. The investigation continues as authorities work to understand the full extent of his connections and the depth of his radicalization.
