The guessing game has begun anew! The latest season ofThe Masked Singerexploded onto screens with a double reveal that left the panel stunned and the audience gasping.
Joel Dommett returned as host, guiding Davina McCall, Jonathan Ross, Maya Jama, and Mo Gilligan through a night of elaborate costumes and carefully concealed identities. The energy was electric as the first set of masked performers took to the stage, each hoping to mislead the judges and survive another round.
The first mask to fall belonged to Goldfish, and beneath the shimmering scales was none other than pop sensation Anne-Marie. A collective intake of breath swept through the studio as the singer, who previously led the show’s house band, No Trout, revealed herself and then delivered a powerful, unmasked performance of her hit “2002.”
Remarkably, only Maya Jama cracked the code, correctly identifying Anne-Marie thanks to a subtle clue referencing her impressive martial arts background. A detail – black belts displayed on a band member – hinted at the singer’s status as a black belt and former world champion in Shotokan karate.
The surprises didn’t end there. Later in the show, after all the performances and a studio audience vote, Disc Jockey was unmasked, revealing the beloved television presenter Alex Jones ofThe One Show.
The panel was visibly shocked, and even Alex herself admitted she wouldn’t have guessed her own identity. Her performance of Chappell Roan’s “Pink Pony Club” had clearly not been enough to sway the audience.

The competition is already fierce, with Can of Worms, Gargoyle, Moth, and Sloth having performed alongside the revealed contestants. Tomorrow night promises another double elimination, as Arctic Fox, Conkers, Monkey Business, Teabag, Toastie, and Yak step into the spotlight.
