MADURO SNATCHED: Dictator & First Lady in US Custody!

The world watched in disbelief Saturday as Venezuelan leader Nicolás Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores, were taken into custody by U.S. forces. The dramatic capture unfolded at their South American compound, culminating in their arrival at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, New York.

Maduro faces a stunning array of charges, including narco-terrorism conspiracy and weapons violations. The indictment alleges a conspiracy to import cocaine into the United States, alongside possession of machine guns and destructive devices intended for use against the country.

Adding to the gravity of the situation, Maduro’s son is also named as a defendant in the case. Images began circulating of the captured leader aboard the USS Iwo Jima, though details remained obscured as they disembarked onto a Department of Justice plane bound for New York.

This action, dubbed “Operation Absolute Resolve,” wasn’t a sudden escalation. It followed a series of targeted U.S. military strikes against vessels suspected of involvement in drug trafficking, allegedly connected to the Venezuelan regime in the Caribbean and Pacific.

The Venezuelan government vehemently condemned the operation, characterizing it as an attempt to seize the nation’s resources and overthrow its government. They described the move as a “colonial war” orchestrated in collaboration with opposing political forces.

President Trump issued a stark warning, signaling the U.S. is prepared for further action. He confirmed that U.S. forces remain deployed and will maintain their presence until a “proper transition” occurs within Venezuela.

The operation echoes a historical precedent, recalling the U.S. military’s removal of Panamanian dictator Manuel Noriega in 1989. However, that intervention also demonstrated the long-term difficulties inherent in stabilizing a nation after such a forceful change in leadership.

While celebrations erupted among Venezuelan expatriates in various countries, a different scene unfolded within Venezuela itself. Reports indicate citizens are frantically stockpiling food, bracing for potential instability and uncertainty in the wake of these extraordinary events.
