TEHRAN UNDER SIEGE: Militias Unleash NIGHT OF TERROR!

TEHRAN UNDER SIEGE: Militias Unleash NIGHT OF TERROR!

Tehran transformed into a city under siege this week, echoing with the staccato bursts of gunfire. Heavily armed militias flooded the capital, turning neighborhoods into fortified zones as a visible display of force gripped the nation.

Dramatic video footage captured the unsettling scene after dark, revealing armored pickup trucks – predominantly Toyota models – patrolling major intersections and surrounding government buildings. These vehicles, bristling with heavy machine guns, moved in coordinated convoys, unleashing volleys of fire into the darkness while masked figures issued shouted commands.

Reports indicate the deployment involved “dozens” of these heavily armed trucks, equipped with large-caliber weapons like the DShK. Intelligence suggests these forces are comprised of elements linked to Lebanese Hezbollah and Iraqi Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF), operating under the command of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).

The Iranian regime appears to be increasingly reliant on these foreign proxy forces to maintain control. Estimates suggest at least 5,000 foreign fighters have been brought in from Iraq and Hezbollah, specifically tasked with guarding critical infrastructure like state media facilities and government buildings.

The escalating tensions coincide with the twenty-fourth day of nationwide protests, marked by a severe communications blackout. The Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA) reports a grim toll: 4,519 confirmed deaths, with another 9,049 deaths still under investigation.

Beyond the fatalities, the protests have resulted in at least 5,811 serious injuries and a staggering 26,314 arrests. An overwhelming security presence, including law enforcement, IRGC, Basij units, and plainclothes agents, has descended upon the country, fostering an atmosphere of fear and intimidation, particularly after nightfall.

The unrest initially sparked in December, fueled by deep-seated economic grievances and widespread opposition to clerical rule. Despite relentless crackdowns, mass arrests, and internet shutdowns, demonstrations continue to persist, showcasing the resilience of the protesters.

Reports from the ground detail fierce clashes between protesters and security forces, with demonstrators sometimes holding their ground against gunfire and tear gas. Disturbing allegations have surfaced regarding attacks on medical facilities, including an IRGC assault on a hospital in Gorgan.

According to these reports, wounded patients were killed, snipers were positioned on rooftops, and surrounding areas were targeted. Furthermore, approximately 76 bodies were allegedly taken to a warehouse, with authorities refusing to release them to families, reportedly intending to bury them in secret.

Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei consistently blames foreign enemies for the unrest, while simultaneously endorsing the IRGC’s forceful response. Meanwhile, calls for action from abroad have been met with warnings of devastating retaliation.

However, some voices within the opposition argue that external military intervention is not the solution. They emphasize the need for a coordinated, nationwide resistance movement, rooted in active forces within Iran, to dismantle the IRGC and challenge the regime’s authority.
