A terrifying scene unfolded on a London bus this afternoon when a man allegedly spewed venomous antisemitic abuse—and threatened to kill Jewish children.
Riding the number 254 through Hackney, the suspect reportedly shouted, "Shame Hitler didn’t kill you," and, "You should all go in the gas chambers."
Witnesses say he claimed he had a knife. The bus driver didn’t hesitate—he slammed the emergency button.
Passengers rushed to intervene, and police were called at 3:51 p.m. Within minutes, a 50-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of making threats to kill.
Authorities searched him. No weapon was found. But the damage was done.
Police are treating the incident as an antisemitic hate crime. The suspect remains in custody as the investigation continues.
Transport officials were quick to respond: "We are absolutely appalled. No one should ever fear abuse on our network."
Every bus in London is equipped with CCTV. Footage is now in police hands.
This was not just a threat—it was a terrorizing attack on an entire community. And the response shows that hate has no place on London’s streets.
