HERO RISES! Ex-Con's Schoolyard Attack STOPPED by Quick-Thinking Stranger!

HERO RISES! Ex-Con's Schoolyard Attack STOPPED by Quick-Thinking Stranger!

A terrifying scene unfolded at a Florida school bus stop, just days after a recently released inmate allegedly launched a brutal attack on a child.

Christopher Steven Schwable, 36, is accused of grabbing a seventh-grade student by the throat, escalating the situation when concerned bystanders attempted to intervene.

Witnesses reported Schwable then brandished a folding knife, waving it menacingly at those who dared to approach, turning a routine morning wait into a moment of sheer panic.

But ordinary citizens refused to stand by. One quick-thinking bystander, witnessing the assault, immediately sprang into action, making a daring U-turn to confront the attacker.

Fearing for the child’s life and unsure if Schwable was armed, the bystander grabbed a toolbox from his vehicle, prepared to defend the young student.

Schwable reportedly raised the knife, prompting the bystander to strike him twice with the toolbox in self-defense, successfully subduing him until authorities arrived.

Police found Schwable on the ground with a head injury, a knife recovered from beneath him, and a visibly shaken child with a cut to his finger.

The young victim, a student at Southwestern Middle School, was understandably distraught after the harrowing ordeal.

The bystander recounted the chilling moment, explaining he acted instinctively, driven by the immediate danger facing the child.

Schwable was transported to a hospital for treatment before being booked into jail on a $5,000 bond, facing charges of aggravated child abuse and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

Adding another layer to the story, records reveal Schwable had only been released from jail thirteen days prior, after prosecutors dropped previous charges of indecent exposure and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Currently without a permanent address, Schwable remains in custody as the investigation continues, leaving the community grappling with the shocking events at the bus stop.
