Tess Daly Makes a Statement on Wedding Ring at Wimbledon Amid Vernon Kay Separation

Tess Daly Makes a Statement on Wedding Ring at Wimbledon Amid Vernon Kay Separation

Tess Daly made a stylish appearance at Wimbledon on its first day, exuding glamour in a white lace gown and chic aviator-style sunglasses.

The 57-year-old TV star, a former Strictly Come Dancing presenter, was still sporting her wedding ring, a reminder of her marriage to Vernon Kay, which the couple announced they were divorcing in May.

Tess was joined by singer Ronan Keating and his wife Storm in the royal box, where they chatted away on centre court. This marked a departure from previous years, when Vernon was by her side to watch the tennis.

The couple stunned fans by announcing their divorce after over two decades of marriage. They met in 2001 while working on rival channels, with Vernon hosting Channel 4's T4 and Tess presenting SMTV on ITV.

In a joint statement earlier this year, Tess and Vernon expressed their deep respect for each other and their decision to separate amicably, citing a shared desire for what is best for both of them.

They emphasized their commitment to their roles as loving and supportive parents to their two daughters, Phoebe and Amber, and urged fans to respect their privacy during this transition.

Meanwhile, the tennis tournament kicked off in style, with a host of celebrities in attendance, including Maura Higgins, Pixie Lott, Romeo Beckham, and his girlfriend Kim Turnbull, as well as his father, David Beckham.

Other notable attendees included Amanda Holden, AJ Odudu, and Chris Appleton, all of whom were seen enjoying the day in various parts of the grounds.
