Suzy Cortez, known for her success in the digital entertainment world, is embarking on a surprising new journey: a run for the Brazilian Senate. She intends to leverage the considerable income she’s generated to fuel a campaign focused on challenging societal norms and advocating for previously unspoken issues.
Cortez’s platform centers on fundamental freedoms – freedom of expression, bodily autonomy, and the empowerment of women. She’s joining a woman-led political party, determined to bring a fresh perspective to the Brazilian political landscape and ignite crucial public conversations.
One of her most striking proposals is the establishment of “Adult Content Creator Day,” playfully dubbed “Day 69” and slated for September 6th. This initiative isn’t about provocation, but rather a serious attempt to recognize the professionals within the adult content industry and foster dialogue surrounding their rights, regulation, and safety.
Beyond recognition, Cortez is pushing for concrete public health policies. She advocates for the federal government to provide free condoms and lubricating gel, framing it as a vital component of comprehensive sexual health education and STI prevention.
The upcoming Carnival celebrations in São Paulo will also see Cortez making a bold statement. As godmother of the composers’ wing for Unidos do Peruche, she’s preparing a costume described as “almost naked,” adorned with only strategically placed crystals.
“I’m going to cover just what’s necessary with three crystals,” she quipped, hinting at a spectacle designed to turn heads. Cortez promises a look that is both daring and unexpectedly elegant, a departure from her previous work.
Recently, Cortez found herself in the midst of a different kind of spotlight, stemming from her passionate fandom of Lionel Messi. She was reportedly blocked by Messi’s wife, Antonela Roccuzzo, from attending the MLS final, an incident that left her feeling deeply humiliated.
Cortez described the experience as unacceptable, arguing that no one should be barred from a public event due to personal disputes or social media conflicts. She claims to be blocked from the entire Messi family’s social media accounts and is prepared to escalate the issue if similar incidents occur at future World Cup games.
