TRUMP'S COVID LIES: Science Just Demolished His Claims!

TRUMP'S COVID LIES: Science Just Demolished His Claims!

The shadow of the Covid-19 pandemic stretches far beyond its official end, with emerging research revealing a cascade of long-term health consequences. These findings are prompting a re-examination of past decisions regarding vaccine recommendations and funding for advanced preventative measures.

Recent studies now link Covid-19 infection during pregnancy to a potential increase in autism diagnoses in children. Beyond that, a disturbing pattern emerges: a measurable decline in mental cognition and a heightened risk of cardiovascular problems are being observed in those who have recovered from the virus.

The economic toll of these lingering effects is staggering. Estimates suggest an average health burden of $9,000 per patient annually in the United States, translating to a collective loss of approximately $170 billion in earnings each year.

SARS-CoV-2, the virus responsible for Covid-19, doesn’t simply disappear after the initial infection. Research, including brain imaging studies, demonstrates the virus triggers a sustained immune response, leading to inflammation, damage to brain cells, and even a reduction in brain volume.

The impact on cognitive function is particularly alarming. One epidemiologist estimates the virus may have increased the number of adults in the U.S. experiencing significant cognitive impairment – defined as an IQ below 70 – by a staggering 2.8 million individuals, requiring substantial societal support.

While more research is always needed, data from numerous studies consistently indicates that Covid-19 vaccines can significantly reduce the risk of severe infection and subsequent long-term health issues. However, recent policy shifts have narrowed vaccine recommendations.

Last year, guidelines were altered to limit routine Covid-19 vaccine recommendations to those 65 and older, and individuals with specific risk factors, despite continued availability in many states. This change followed statements questioning the clinical data supporting broader vaccination efforts.

The long-term implications of these evolving understandings of Covid-19 and the choices surrounding its prevention are only beginning to be understood, demanding continued vigilance and rigorous investigation.
