Police responded to the scene on Lawrence Ave. E. and Bellamy Rd. N. at 4:09 p.m., arriving to find Sam already suffering from critical gunshot wounds. Despite swift transport to hospital, doctors were unable to save him.
The moments surrounding the shooting remain shrouded in mystery. Witnesses described a sudden eruption of violence, followed by the suspect’s immediate flight from the coffee shop. No one else was injured in the chaotic scene.
