SYNAGOGUE ATTACKED: Religious Hate EXPLODES in Australia!

SYNAGOGUE ATTACKED: Religious Hate EXPLODES in Australia!

A chilling scene unfolded in Brisbane, Australia, on Friday night as a vehicle deliberately crashed into the city’s synagogue. Newly released video captures the moment a black Toyota Hilux struck the synagogue gates on Margaret Street, then sped away into the darkness.

The incident occurred just after 7:15 p.m. local time, and footage reveals a calculated act: the truck stopping, reversing with force to topple a section of the gates, and then accelerating away from the scene. Thankfully, no one was injured during the brazen attack.

Police swiftly apprehended a 32-year-old man from Sunnybank, taking him into custody without struggle. He now faces a series of serious charges, including willful damage, hate crime offenses, dangerous operation of a vehicle, and drug possession.

Authorities believe the suspect acted alone and have assured the community there is no continuing threat. He is scheduled to appear in court Saturday, as investigators piece together the motive behind this disturbing act.

This incident arrives at a particularly sensitive time, just two months after a horrific attack at Bondi Beach. A father and son allegedly targeted a Hanukkah celebration, resulting in 15 deaths and dozens of injuries.

That December 14th attack saw Naveed Akram, 24, and his father, Sajid Akram, 50, accused of a devastating act of terror. Sajid Akram was killed during a confrontation with police, while Naveed Akram remains critically injured and faces numerous charges, including terrorism and murder.

Adding to the heightened tensions, weeks after the Bondi Beach massacre, clashes erupted between police and anti-Israel demonstrators during a visit by Israeli President Isaac Herzog. The protests, near Sydney’s Town Hall, led to 27 arrests, including charges of assaulting officers.

President Herzog used his visit to Australia to address the growing global concern of antisemitism, labeling it an emergency and defending Israel’s actions amidst the ongoing protests and international scrutiny.

The synagogue attack in Brisbane underscores the fragility of communal safety and the urgent need to confront rising prejudice and hate. The investigation continues, seeking to understand the full scope of this troubling event.
