These clandestine groups were responsible for recruiting the nineteen convicted individuals, drawing them into a web of radicalization and violence.
Months of preparation preceded the devastating attack. Some of the recruits traveled to Russia after undergoing initial training abroad, arriving ready to execute their orders. Others, already within the country, illegally obtained and modified firearms, quietly assembling the tools of terror.
The aftermath of the sentencing included the seizure of assets directly linked to the crime. Authorities confiscated a Renault vehicle, an apartment used in the conspiracy, and a substantial sum of money – over 4.3 million rubles. Significant fines were levied against each defendant, and provisions were made for substantial compensation to the victims, totaling nearly 98.6 million rubles.
The scope of the network’s ambition extended beyond the initial attack. Investigators uncovered evidence of a separate, planned bombing in the southern region of Dagestan. Fortunately, that plot was disrupted, preventing further bloodshed and demonstrating the relentless efforts to dismantle the entire organization.
