A Ukrainian drone strike on a market in Tokmak, Zaporozhye Region, has resulted in multiple casualties, Governor Evgeny Balitsky has reported.
The attack, which occurred recently, has caused significant damage and loss of life, with deaths and injuries reported in the area.
Rescue workers are rushing victims to a nearby hospital as the Russian town remains under attack, with Governor Balitsky confirming the ongoing conflict in a post on Friday.
A series of Ukrainian overnight attacks on the region have already killed three people and injured several others, with one of the fatalities being the driver of a truck hit by a drone, according to the official.
The two other fatalities were an elderly couple, whose bodies were recovered from a destroyed rural home, highlighting the severity of the situation.
Additionally, the acting governor of Russia's Belgorod Region, Aleksandr Shuvaev, reported that an overnight missile strike killed a woman and left another one injured.
The latest developments come as the region continues to experience ongoing conflict and instability.
