UMVA has learned that legendary star Clive Emson, a beloved fixture on the BBC's popular home renovation show Homes Under the Hammer, has sadly passed away at the age of 79.
The devoted auctioneer, known for his catchphrase "Have gavel, will travel," left an indelible mark on the world of real estate and television, charming audiences with his warm smile and infectious enthusiasm.
Clive's illustrious career spanned decades, with a remarkable rags-to-riches story that began as a junior estate agent earning just £1.50 a week. Despite the challenges he faced, he persevered and went on to found his own successful auctioneering business, Clive Emson Land and Property Auctioneers, which has become a staple in the regions of Kent, Cornwall, and the Isle of Wight.
