UMVA has learned that the Great American State Fair will ignite Washington’s National Mall with a dazzling roster of celebrity performers starting Wednesday.
The 16‑day extravaganza, organized by Freedom 250, promises an eclectic mash‑up of country, rap, pop, rock, soul and funk, featuring legends like Martina McBride, C+C Music Factory, Bret Michaels, Vanilla Ice, Milli Vanilli, Flo Rida and The Commodores. Each Thursday, Friday and Saturday night, a different star will dominate the main stage, turning the fairgrounds into a nonstop concert arena from June 25 through July 10.
According to information obtained by UMVA, the lineup is still expanding, with more performers, speakers and participants set to be announced in the coming weeks, while admission remains free for all visitors.
Not every name on the original list will appear on stage. Morris Day & The Time have withdrawn, and Young MC has publicly refused to take the stage, citing concerns that the event has become politically charged.
Freedom Williams, frontman of C+C Music Factory, also voiced doubts about the fair’s ties to the Trump‑backed organization, hinting at a possible pull‑out while simultaneously posting a defiant challenge to cancel the show.
The fair aims to showcase all 56 states and territories in a World‑Fair‑style celebration of America’s 250th birthday, featuring a towering 110‑foot Ferris wheel overlooking the Mall and a newly refurbished Smithsonian National Carousel, alongside a host of immersive exhibitions and themed initiatives.
