Offer prepared: Real Madrid ready to bid €120m for transfer of “special” Liverpool star

Real Madrid are reportedly prepared to bid as much as €120m for the potential transfer of Liverpool midfielder Ryan Gravenberch.

The Netherlands international has been a key player for the Reds, scoring a superb goal against Chelsea today, but then also not sounding too happy with the club’s fans afterwards for booing the players.

According to Fichajes, Gravenberch is now emerging as a top target for Real Madrid as they look to make changes in midfield this summer.

The Spanish outlet claim that Los Blancos could try paying as much as €120m for Gravenberch, and this follows another Fichajes report about managerial target Jose Mourinho looking for signings in that position.

Can Liverpool afford to lose Ryan Gravenberch?

Gravenberch is surely too important for LFC to sell for even huge money like €120m, with Arne Slot having previously described him as a “special talent” that he’s liked for a long time.

I saw him playing at Ajax when he came up into the first team and everybody saw back then what a special talent he was,” Slot told Liverpool’s official site last season.

“And probably for that reason he went to two amazing clubs, Bayern Munich and Liverpool – and you can only go to these clubs if they see you have a lot of quality.

“Then it is up to us to make sure we get the best out of him and that is not only down to what as a training staff we do – also he is the most important for that.”

Real Madrid to make changes in midfield?

Gravenberch makes sense as a Madrid target given all the issues at the moment with Aurelien Tchouameni.

The former Bayern Munich man could be an ideal replacement for the unsettled Frenchman, who has apologised on Instagram for fighting with teammate Federico Valverde.

This whole incident has led to doubts over Tchouameni and Valverde’s futures this summer, according to AS.
