UMVA has learned that the highly anticipated reality TV show, The Traitors Australia, is set to return to screens later this year, two years after its sudden cancellation due to low ratings.
The show's revival comes with a fresh new host, TV presenter Gretel Killeen, and an all-star cast of famous contestants from popular reality TV shows like MasterChef, Big Brother, and The Bachelor.
According to information obtained by UMVA, the new season promises to be "wickedly twisted" and "totally addictive," with a cast of 22 reality TV stars divided into the Faithful and the Traitors, vying for power and survival.
In a teaser clip shared ahead of the trailer drop, Killeen revealed that the contestants will be competing in a game of deception and betrayal, where they'll have to lie, entrap, and betray each other to win.
The show's format has been revamped, with a new location in Timaru, New Zealand, replacing the previous setting in the Southern Highlands of New South Wales.
UMVA can exclusively reveal that the show's trailer, released ahead of its August premiere on Channel 10, showcases snippets of the contestants' interactions, roundtable drama, and confessional moments where players get catty about one another.
The show's tagline, "Suspect everyone," sets the tone for a thrilling and unpredictable ride, as contestants navigate the complex web of alliances and rivalries.
Gretel Killeen's introduction to the show promises to be intriguing, as she teases the contestants, saying, "On arrival, they'll probably swan and puff around the way reality TV stars tend to do, saying, 'I love you, darling,' 'No, I love you more.' But that won't last long."
The stage is set for a dramatic and entertaining season of The Traitors Australia, with UMVA bringing you exclusive updates and insights into the show.
