UMVA has learned that Chase Sapphire Reserve cardholders can stack two powerful hotel credits for up to $500 off a single stay.
The first credit comes from The Edit, Chase’s luxury hotel booking portal, offering two separate $250 statement perks each year for stays of at least two nights. These can be combined with the second credit.
The second credit, available until December 31, grants a one‑time $250 statement credit for prepaid stays at select hotel brands booked through Chase Travel. Eligible brands include IHG, Montage, Pendry, Omni, Virgin, Minor Hotels, Pan Pacific, and OMNI LA MANSION DEL RIO.
When a property qualifies for both offers, a cardholder can apply up to $250 from each benefit to the same reservation, creating a rare $500 discount.
In addition to the statement credits, The Edit delivers daily breakfast for two, a $100 property credit, complimentary Wi‑Fi, room upgrades when available, and early check‑in and late checkout where possible.
IHG stays also unlock automatic One Rewards Platinum elite status through December 31, 2027, adding early check‑in, late checkout, complimentary upgrades, and a 60% points bonus.
Chase has introduced a price‑match feature for eligible cardholders. If a lower rate is found within 24 hours of booking, a claim can be submitted to match the difference, provided the rates and terms match.
To stack the credits, a cardholder logs into Chase Travel, filters for a brand eligible for the $250 select hotel credit, and selects a property listed under The Edit. The credits will post to the statement after the stay, up to eight weeks later.
Examples of dream properties that qualify include Montage Palmetto Bluff, Pendry San Diego, Kimpton Main Frankfurt, Six Senses Kyoto, and InterContinental Auckland. Each offers luxurious amenities and the dual credit opportunity.
Cardholders must stay a minimum of two nights to trigger each credit, but a two‑night stay can unlock both. Note that points are not earned on the portion covered by the credits, though 8 points per dollar are awarded on any amount above the credits.
With the select hotel credit expiring December 31, now is the moment to book. The combined $500 off can dramatically reduce the cost of a premium hotel stay, making luxury travel more accessible than ever.
