The crime unfolded on April 8, 2011, during an open house at a model townhome owned by Rottlund Homes, the very company where Ramsey was employed. Okland was brutally shot twice at close range – once in the chest, once in the face – a scene that immediately signaled a crime of intense violence.
A neighbor’s account, recently revealed in court documents, paints a disturbing picture of the moments following the gunshots. The witness reported hearing two loud noises, then spotting Ramsey outside the townhome, her behavior immediately raising alarm.
