JUST IN: Three People Indicted on Federal Charges Connected to Attack on TPUSA Reporter Savanah Hernandez

A federal grand jury has indicted three individuals – Christopher, Deyanna, and Paige Ostrouchko – in connection with a violent attack on journalist Savanah Hernandez. The assault occurred while Hernandez was reporting on anti-ICE protests outside a federal building in St. Paul, Minnesota, raising serious questions about the safety of journalists covering politically charged events.

The incident took place earlier this month at the Whipple ICE facility in Minneapolis, during demonstrations organized under the banner of “National F*ck ICE Day.” Protests, held in cities across the nation, were marked by intense rhetoric and, in Minneapolis, a shocking display of vulgarity, including the placement of sex toys along the facility’s fence.

Hernandez was broadcasting live from the scene when she was suddenly set upon by a protester. Witnesses reported she was punched and knocked to the ground, a brutal act captured on video that quickly circulated online, sparking outrage and calls for justice.

Two individuals engage in a heated discussion at a protest, surrounded by signs and onlookers, highlighting social activism and community engagement.

According to those present, the attack stemmed directly from Hernandez being identified as a conservative journalist. Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche condemned the assault, stating unequivocally that such actions are “not peaceful protest” and “will not be tolerated in America.”

Hernandez herself expressed gratitude for the swift response from the Department of Justice and the FBI. She noted a history of previous assaults by left-wing activists that had gone unanswered, making this intervention particularly significant.

The indictment represents a clear message that politically motivated violence has no place in a free society. The Department of Justice has pledged to vigorously prosecute those who engage in such unhinged acts, ensuring that journalists can report on events without fear of physical harm.

The protests themselves were characterized by inflammatory signs and slogans, reflecting deep-seated anger towards ICE and the current administration. The organizers even confirmed the shipment of over 600 sex toys to Los Angeles for use in demonstrations, highlighting the extreme nature of the movement.

Hernandez, reflecting on the attack, emphasized the fundamental right to report on public events without facing violence. “All of this because I was standing outside on a public street filming a protest in the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA,” she stated, a stark reminder of the fragility of press freedom.
